I have lived with my husband Paul and my daughter Andrea in Stouffville, Ontario, along with two dogs, for thirteen years. I was fascinated with jewellery from a very early age but only started making it about nine years ago. At the beginning I was using beads and wire but soon realized that this limited me. That is why I went to George Brown College and after three years I earned the Certificate of Jeweller.
The inspiration for my jewellery comes from the natural ambiance that I am surrounded by for the past twelve years. The pattern of bark on the trees and the shapes of flower petals are incorporated into most of my original art jewellery pieces. All of my jewellery pieces are made solely by me in my studio in Stouffville. The mediums I use are sterling silver and gold. In my work I use traditional methods of jewellery making, for example, sawing, annealing, forging, soldering and piercing. In most of the pieces I incorporate precious and semi-precious stones in a bezel setting.
