2025
Presented annually by the Prince Edward County Arts Council, The Maker’s Hand is a prestigious fine craft show featuring both established and up-and-coming artists from across Ontario & Quebec. Since 2004, the show has attracted more than 50,000 visitors from Toronto to Ottawa and beyond.
NEW LOCATION
The Maker’s Hand will move to the County Arts Lab, located in the historic Armoury Building at the heart of Picton’s vibrant Main Street! The show will feature 25 booths inside the County Arts Lab, in the adjoining Armoury Atrium, and outdoor courtyard. The County Arts Lab also hosts the region’s largest group exhibition, Art in the County, as well as art classes and workshops throughout the year. Click here to learn more about County Arts Lab programming.
NEW FRIDAY EVENING SHOPPING HOURS!
As Picton attracts shoppers and diners from across the region, organizers have decided to extend opening hours from 1:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday November 7th, 2025. Other activities of note in Picton are Countylicious and the Firelight Lantern Festival. Check-out https://countyarts.ca/whats-on/location/picton/ for more events.
ARTIST INFORMATION
Applicants must self-identify as a professional artist (see Canada Council for the Arts’ definition) and present functional, conceptual, or sculptural work that exhibits originality and technical excellence. Visual artists are welcome to apply, but priority will be given to fine craft artists. The Maker’s Hand does not accept consumable products in the show, nor do we accept soaps & bath products, or candles. Click here to learn more about the venue, booth sizes, eligibility criteria, and more.
VISITOR INFORMATION
The Maker’s Hand is an exciting opportunity for craft-lovers to meet both award-winning and emerging artists from across the province! We look forward to welcoming you to the County Arts Lab November 7 -9, 2025. Entry is $5 for unlimited access all weekend. Children under 12 enter for free.
Wheelchair accessible entrance, washrooms, and wide aisles for ease of movement. Accessible parking located in front of The Armoury building on Main Street.
We are hosting an All Are Welcome Hour on Sunday November 9 from 10-11:00 AM to ensure that people with sensory, mobility, and other disability-related needs can more readily engage with the arts. The lights and music will be dimmed/lowered, exhibitors will be prepared to engage with all visitors, and free entry for assistants of persons with a disability. The show will be open to the general public at this time, but it is a traditionally quieter time to visit. We thank Pina D’Intino and David Wysocki of Aequum Global Access Inc. for assisting us with this special initiative.
